Mahurangi Wastebusters has proudly been running zero-waste events, repair cafes, waste minimisation education and training events in the North Rodney area since 2017, in response to demand from local communities.
The Learning Hub at the upgraded Lawrie Road Community Recycling Centre is now open - bookings from schools, kingergartens, ECEs, community groups and community members are welcome! Come and learn how to reduce waste to landfill and recycle right. Mahurangi Wastebusters also offers an education program for schools and ECEs in the North Rodney area and can come to you.

At our visit, it was clear that Mahurangi Wastebusters is serious about their kaupapa, doing everything possible to promote zero waste living and waste minimisation in a region that did not otherwise have such facilities.
